All the grids are designed for all the squares to be crossed off in order to win the game, and depending on the size of your class, there can be several winners per game. The grids with pictures are in both colour and BW: colour looks great, and I laminate these for class, using them with wipe-clean pens so that they can be recycled for years. The BW versions work really well for quick games - print and go! Each set features 12 fruits and 12 vegetables respectively, and I’ve found this to be a reasonable and manageable number for young learners. The fruits are: green apple : lemon : oranges : peach : raspberries : pineapple : kiwi : pear : bananas : green grapes : strawberry : watermelon The vegetables are: mushrooms : cauliflower : carrots : lettuce : cucumber : tomato : cabbage : potatoes : garlic : broccoli : peas : onions I have folders ready with lots of different bingo grids in them, so that they are good to grab and go whenever students select them, or I decide it’s time for a quick practice and refresh session. I distribute the grids in a variety of ways, for example students get a random selection of pages, and they select the order of grids they play from. Students can also cut out the grids, and place them in a small bowl or similar object on tables, and then select individual grids randomly. Each set includes the following non-editable files: = 40 picture-only 9-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). I give students a random selection of pages, with students selecting the order of grids they play from. You can also cut out the grids, and place them in a small bowl or similar object on tables. PRIMARY SPANISH VEGETABLES KS2 SPANISH VEGETABLES KS3 SPANISH VEGETABLES YEAR 7 SPANISH VEGETABLES WORD SEARCHES The resource is non-editable in a zipped format. The license for purchase is a single-user license only - the resource is copyright, all rights reserved - it may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed in any way - please read the Terms of Use. Sopas de Letras are a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word in Spanish, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, focusing on a range of vegetables in Spanish, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The fruits include***masculine, feminine, singular and plural***, with a blend of definite and indefinite articles - this really helps students think a little more laterally about language, and their new vocabulary - they may learn la patata, and it’s useful to give students opportunity to think about grammatical concepts, and how la becomes una for example. I’ve selected high-frequency vegetables, such as potato or cabbage, and also vegetables which may be new to some learners, such as asparagus or artichoke. There are a range of phonemes and sounds too, such as the ***letter j (ajo)***, which is a sound particular to Spanish, and the letter ñ (champiñones), as the tilde + n plays a very important role in Spanish pronunciation. There are 5 Spanish to Spanish grids, labelled with carrots, where learners are prompted with the Spanish words, and look for them in Spanish in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice, each grid also features an English word list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test. There are also 5 English to Spanish grids, labelled with a pepper, where the prompt words are given in English, and learners have to find the Spanish equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing and spelling in Spanish, they also complete the Spanish word list on each page. Learners can tell in which direction the words are written by looking at the arrow key on each grid. There is an answer grid for each word search, so that learners can check their answers, or use for a little extra help if they need it. The word searches are in landscape format, as I’ve found this to be the best format for beginner language learners - language is very clear and accessible. GERMAN PHONICS PRONUNCIATION SPELLING BUNDLE #1

4 Resources
GERMAN PHONICS KS3 GERMAN PHONICS KS4 GERMAN PHONICS GERMAN PRONUNCIATION PRACTICE - TWO SETS OF 99 GERMAN WORD CARDS FOCUSING ON PHONICS, SOUNDS, SPELLING AND RHYMES WITH WHOLE-GROUP PRONUNCIATION PRESENTATIONS @ £3.50 EACH IN THE BUNDLE Files are non-editable in a zipped format. They are copyright, all rights reserved. They may not be copied, shared, rewritten or distributed outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. There are 198 cards featuring a range of sounds in German, and a whole-group presentation and practice activity. Revisit the activities frequently to help students develop phonetic awareness and a thorough understanding of how German spelling and sounds work. Students are quickly able to recognize sound patterns, enabling them to predict the pronunciation of new words more accurately. The whole-group presentations are non-editable for copyright reasons, but move forward via a click as a slide show, with all the rhymes and corresponding sounds grouped together. This is also useful for starter and finisher activities throughout the school year. Encourage students to look carefully at all parts of a particular word, not just the focus sound: for example Hochhaus - the focus sound is au, but the ch sound is equally important. The resource works well for my German students at all stages of learning, from beginner to advanced. We use the card template for students to add corresponding sounds/rhymes that they know, or learn, over time. Allocate 10-15 minutes frequently to focus on pronunciation and sounds - this really does help students develop authentic German pronunciation. Laminate the cards if possible - it’s definitely quite a bit of prep, but it’s well worth it in the longer-term - they are far more learner-friendly, and will remain in excellent condition for years. There is also a set without background to save prep costs. Have a browse in my store for more German resources, including special offer bundles and freebies. FRENCH ER VERBS NEAR FUTURE TENSE

(1)
GCSE FRENCH NEAR FUTURE TENSE -ER VERBS CONJUGATION PRACTICE, featuring 25 high-frequency French -ER verbs. I've used these kinds of quick conjugation workbooks for years with my students, and they find them really useful. They like to practise the conjugations regularly across the school year, and with the answer key, they're able to work and learn completely independently. The workbook's really versatile - I use them in lots of different contexts, for example for directed practice when I'm introducing the near future tense, for free-choice class time, for vacation practice, for home learning and for sub lessons. The 10-page workbook has this structure: * Two alphabetical verb reference lists: French-English and English-French * Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: CHALLENGE 1: each verb conjugated in French across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation CHALLENGE 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in French, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in French CHALLENGE 3: students write the corresponding French verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt There's a Notes and Next Steps template which students visit regularly - it really does encourage them to think about where they are now, how confident they feel, and what they might need to work on a little more to be absolutely sure of their conjugation skills. We also note down any new verbs we meet, which enables students to build up their own verb vocab bank. It's a great tool to guide and inform whole-group discussion about learning and progress in general, which is a really successful and popular activity. Each workbook has an accompanying 6-page answer key book - this is absolutely essential in my opinion - answer keys help students develop more insight and independence in their learning, and of course, self and peer assessing does give them a further opportunity to engage with the conjugations - additionally, they really enjoy correcting each others' work! FRENCH REFLEXIVE VERBS PERFECT TENSE

(0)
GCSE FRENCH KS3 FRENCH KS4 FRENCH REFLEXIVE VERBS PERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION 25 high-frequency reflexive verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. French reflexive verbs can be quite tricky, particularly for students whose first language does not have a similar reflexive verb group. Though the workbook focuses solely on the correct conjugation of verbs, and does not look at word order in the context of full sentences, there are fixed conjugation patterns that students can learn, recognize and apply, ensuring that their spoken and written French is accurate, and that their understanding of French across the skills of***listening, speaking, reading and writing*** is robust. Students become very familiar and confident the more they work with conjugation, and these quick conjugations certainly help to embed that successfully. The resource has the following structure: Two alphabetical verb reference lists: French-English and English-French. Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in French across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation. Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in French, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in French. Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding French verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt. ENGLISH FOR FRENCH SPEAKERS VERBS LIST FREEBIE #3

ANGLAIS LANGUE SECONDE ESL EFL ENGLISH COMMON VERBS FOR FRENCH-SPEAKING LEARNERS OF ENGLISH English language verb reference resource for French-speaking students focusing on high-frequency English verbs. I’ve found that the lists are a great learning support resource, and they’re really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference, either in class or at home. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. This list is a third collection of 25 high-frequency English verbs that students will meet in the beginning to intermediate stages of English learning programs. They are common English verbs, so they will see, hear and use the verbs regularly in daily life. They include regular and irregular verbs, and are all in the infinitive form - it’s an important step in learning is to ensure that students quickly develop a useful vocabulary bank, are able to recognize English verbs, and are confident with the meaning of those verbs in French - at that point they can move on to looking at conjugation and using the verbs in a communicative and practical context. Students shouldn’t take on the task of learning 25 verbs all at once though - this is more of a longer-term reference resource that students can use to audit their developing English verb vocabulary - embedding the verbs into long-term memory will come through frequent usage. There are two alphabetical lists - one English-French, and one French-English, as I’ve found that beginner language students prefer to have both as a reference resource. There are two backgrounds to choose from - England flag (which looks good as grammar / vocabulary display), and black wave - students tell me that this makes vocab lists more visually appealing, which is really useful when they’ve got a lot of vocab to work through and learn.
